Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, in a renovated cotton mill built in the 1800s. The atmosphere is warm and energetic and the staff is well-trained to provide a fantastic dining experience for all of our guests. In addition, the wine list offers more than 500 selections and is a Wine Spectator Magazine award-winner regular.

Unfortunately had to wait over 30 minutes past my reservation time with no explanation. Otherwise it was a fair experience, but not up to the standard I have experienced before with this restaurant group.

We were there for Sunday brunch, so it was quite crowded. Nevertheless, our table upstairs by a window was great and our server, Isabella, was wonderful. The food, too, was very, very good and reasonably priced. In all honesty, we cannot recall having a pecan sticky bun that was as good as theirs, and the shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had - including in some of the best restaurants in Charleston.

My party of four had a wonderful experience at Soby’s last night. On a very crowded night, we were seated in a nice booth and were greeted by a waiter who answered all our questions about menu options and provided recommendations when asked. The entrees we chose were all well-received and shared across the table. Oh, I forgot to mention THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING! At the end of the night we all agreed we would come back whenever we were in Greenville!

This was our second visit to Soby’s in 2 years. The food was excellent and the service staff was attentive and very professional. The crab bisque has been one of my favorite things to eat there!

Amazing place! The service is always amazing we sat by the window this time with an amazing view of the Greenville Christmas tree. Emily and Kyle were wonderful and the food was amazing! For desert Try the Tarcy’s pinecone it’s fantastic!

The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived. We had 7 o’clock reservations and they actually seated us about two or three minutes before seven. White staff was absolutely outstanding and professional! The pork chop dinner was outstanding as well. A wonderful experience! Would recommend this restaurant to anybody for a special evening out.

Excellent dinner for family. It was the Saturday before Christmas and the restaurant was full. This made for a noisy environment but the service and the food were excellent.

Also a hit, I’ve loved Soby’s since the first time I went in during the opening week. I have nothing but respect for Carl and the class and notable places he and 301 have given us to eat! Kudos!!!!
