SOIF is a charming neighbourhood bistro, serving seasonal modern European food and an exciting
natural wine selection.
Please note that we do not take bookings for outside. We work with first arrived, first served
policy. Thank you for your understanding. The kitchen closes at 9am on Monday and 9.30pm during the rest of the week and at 3.30pm on Sunday.
We are opening on Mondays for Chicken & Wine Monday.
From Tuesday to Saturday, kitchen closes between 3pm and 6pm, however as we are still open for drinks, we can serve Charcuterie Selection or Cheese Selection during this period.

    Join us on Saturday the 3rd of May for a wine tasting session where we'll be exploring the Loire Valley and its various regional appellations and grapes. Our sommelier will select 5 wines from different areas in the Loire Valley. There will be nibbles to accompany the wines. It's going to be one not to be missed.     First time at Soif Restaurant. What a treat. The starter selection of charcuterie was really good quality. The mains grilled veal chop and steamed hake were both extremely well cooked and cheese to finish. A bottle of Nord sud balance was a treat. The staff were really polite. Will definitely be back

    Soif’s dedication to natural wines and small-scale producers shone through at yesterday's Spanish wine tasting, Stars of the well curated (and knowledgeably and enthusiatically introduced) flight were the Corpinnat (Recaredo) that sparkled with elegance, and the Nauda Clarete field blend that offered a bold fusion of indigenous grapes. ¡Salud!

    5/5 – A gem of a place! Had a fantastic evening at Soif. We started with the charcuterie trio – absolutely divine – but the standout was the duck rillette, genuinely to die for. I had the polenta as a main, and as someone from the land of polenta, I can confidently say it was the best I’ve had in ages. The service was exquisite throughout – warm, attentive, and never overbearing. Richard, our waiter, was especially lovely. Great to chat with a fellow northerner (he from Newcastle, me Scottish) – a little touch of home away from home. Already planning to come back for the veal Milanese, on Richard’s recommendation!     Delicious chicken, steak tartare and friends. Prices expensive for fairly casual bistro food in a convivial setting. Service not great but really friendly and helpful sommelier :)

    Fabulous find near my daughter’s new home, wasn’t drinking wine but there was a Table for 3 available on a Sunday. Didn’t realise it was in the Michelin Guide but I know now why it is. Just like the French Bistro of your highest expectations. All the food was great and the service too, Peter and his colleague. Will be back next time to try the wine too!

    Outstanding. Vibrant atmosphere and very busy but attentive, kind service. Food is always top notch but this time the beef tartare, bavette and polenta were off the charts good.
