Sopra, an American Bistro, opened in the spring of 2008 with the goal of serving fresh and delicious Italian-American bold flavored foods, with global influence, in a fun and lively setting that makes our guests feel at home from the moment they walk in the door. Located on Main Street in the heart of downtown, Sopra Bistro combines the laid back atmosphere of Lake Geneva with the dynamic feel of Lincoln Park, Chicago.
The warm wooden barstools, chairs and tables create a harmonious balance of elegant American bistro and a comfortable neighborhood bar.

The food and drinks were delicious. A highlight was a fried goat cheese appetizer. My Pina Nada cocktail was especially delightful and our server was helpful, considerate, and kind. Even when a noisy group crowded up to the bar, blocking a major walkway through the restaurant, staff kept their composure even though it was clear to see they were inconvenienced. I’d definitely go again!

Ordered many items off the menu to share and try and everything was delicious! Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was very friendly! One of our favorite spots on Lake Geneva

The music was loud and just not conducive to dining. At one point, “Mississippi Queen” by Mountain came on! I like the song, but it’s not wine-sippin’ music. The food was OK. Not as good as I expected.

We sat on the second floor which had a nice little view of the street and shops below, which was lit up because it was dark out. Very nice ambiance

I love this restaurant. It’s definitely a gem in Lake Geneva. We had a great meal. I wish they would do something with adding some acoustic dampers as it’s always extremely loud and it can be difficult to talk to those at your table. And I’m a young dude saying that.
