ST. JOHN Bread & Wine reflects the rhythms of its locale whilst observing the same respect for seasonal, indigenous ingredients and "the whole beast" as the bigger sister restaurant. Currently opening for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday, this branch very much beats its own drum with a menu structured towards a slightly less formal manner of dining, with guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen.

As well as selling goods to take home from our bakery, wines by the bottle or the case can be bought from our lists to take home with some delivery available.

Bread & Wine has been voted Best British Restaurant by the Evening Standard and named as best value restaurant by The Observer Food Monthly.

A wonderful lunch - the welcome, food and ambience are so great, and so comforting in miserable January. Food is always banging - good mix of old favourites (hello cod’s roe) and new things. Highlight today was a really unctuous cuttlefish, tomato, saffron stew w aioli. Truly outstanding. My dog Gus is always so welcomed w is an added bonus. Thank you!! Xx

This place never disappoints. On this visit we had the mackerel/red cabbage/horseradish and the cod’s roe to start followed by venison/braised red cabbage and wild boar mains with a side of pigs skin/chips /cabbage with rice pudding/poached pear to finish. Everything was spectacular, but the venison and red cabbage for me was the standout. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive 5* all day long

Just the best. Nothing missing, nothing unnecessary, nothing less than perfect. In my opinion St John continues to be the flag bearer for what British cookery is capable of, and the food today was as good as its ever been. Thank you all. Long live St John

Nos ha cambiado por completo la percepción de la comida Británica. Sabores intensos, súper bien equilibrados, de apariencia sencilla, pero muy complejo en su conjunto. Un 10. Repetiremos cuando tengamos la oportunidad.
