Terre Haute Brewing Company erected our beautiful Victorian Stables building in 1890. The building actually housed Clydesdale, Belgian and various other draft horses that delivered beer for the brewery. For private groups, the rear two-thirds of the upper level is our grand banquet hall. The room seats groups from 30-100. Lavish buffets or sit down meals for business dinners and programs, family gatherings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties. At Stables Steakhouse we want you to sit back and relax. Take in the surroundings and enjoy the finer things in life...a big steak, a great bottle of wine, and warm hospitality!

Stables Steakhouse is the best. We've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. The ambiance is unique and great. The food is awesome. The service is excellent! Our server, Will, was very professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was cooked to perfection as always. We love this place.

My recent experience at The Stables was unfortunately disappointing. The evening started poorly with the waitstaff spilling water on our table and two of our guests. While the staff did their best to clean up the mess, it was an inauspicious start to the meal. The food itself was mediocre for the price. The chicken and alfredo dishes were satisfactory, but the ribeyes were thin cuts with excessive marbling, and the creamy spinach was served cold. The highlight of the meal was the excellent bread pudding. Due to the combination of poor service and underwhelming food, I cannot recommend The Stables for dinner. However, the bread pudding was exceptional, so if you're looking for a dessert-only spot, The Stables might be worth considering.

I look forward to each Stables meal. Whether I’m enjoying steak, seafood, or something else, the flavors, temperatures, and presentations are impeccable. The staff sometimes unpromptedly replaces a dish that doesn’t meet their standards. It’s great to have a place where our small community can enjoy such fine dining in the Wabash Valley.
