Prominently situated in the heart of Coronado’s iconic village, Stake is a modern take on the classic chophouse of decades past with a chef-driven menu sourced with only the highest quality ingredients available.

Executive Chef Matt Sramek’s menu includes a number of share-friendly filets, chops, Japanese A5 wagyu, and dry-aged prime steak, an expansive selection of seafood appetizers including raw oysters from both East & West coasts, Alaskan King Crab, ice-cold shellfish & crudo, healthy salads, and rustic, wood fire-roasted side dishes, in addition to a handful of freshly composed seasonal seafood entrées.

The service was excellent but we were let down by the quality of the food. We ordered the crab cake and Brooklyn bacon steak, the crab cake was over cooked and crispy. The Brooklyn bacon steak was the only thing I enjoyed. The steaks were cooked to the temperature that we love but there was no season, the sides (asparagus, au gratin potatoes) weren't seasoned, just a bland. My wife ordered 2 drinks and there was so much ice in them that it wasn't worth it. We were really looking forward to enjoying your restaurant but I will say that we will not be returning. Overall I would say the food was mediocre but the staff was amazing very professional and caring.

Be careful when they bring the meat display out. You will be confused with the other stuff on the menu and you will order the most expensive cut after you hear their spill. It is very confusing until you get the bill for two of us that shared plates and it was $330.

Great American steak house with an incredible wine list and an equally incredible selection of meats from around the world (we had steaks from the multiple parts of the US, as well as Australian and Japanese.) The au graten potatoes and grilled asparagus matched up well and the potatoes were the best our family has had in recent memory. Upscale but the dress is smart casual and the environment is “lively.” The servers are professional and conversational. We had dinner with Brian and he is absolutely one of the best in the business. This is a must stop for our family when we come back to the Del.

Our server was awesome, she was sweet and personable. They knew it was my birthday and had a card and complimentary champagne as well as cake! Everyone was friendly and it was so nice inside. I cannot wait to go again!
