   I was underwhelmed with this restaurant, especially for the cost. It wasn't terribly expensive, but I was very disappointed with their stock levels of food and alcohol. Order a bottle of Duckhorn cabernet - nope, sorry, sold out. And, the list of California cabernets is light and overpriced; I expect to overpay for a bottle of wine when I go out to dinner, but $180 for a bottle of Prisoner? Also, two folks in our party wanted the prime rib special - nope, sorry, sold out of that too. How does that happen? And it's not like we came in for a late dinner when everything was already gone - it was a 7:15pm reservation. It's still a nice place and the food we had was good, but next time I'm staying at the Perry Cabin I think I'll be eating elsewhere.

   Hello- Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. While we strive to always have all varietals of wine from our list in stock there are times when we do not always receive the surplus of allocated wines that you might find in larger cities and we do apologize. We are pleased that our nightly features are so popular amongst our guests as our intention is to in fact sell out of them nightly.    Service was rushed and food was just okay. Overall, I was disappointed by this experience since I’d heard such good things prior.

   Thank you so much for your feedback. We source of our Beef (Never Frozen) from Creekstone Farm and our Crab from JM Clayton (Cambridge MD) the oldest working crab processing plant in the world.    Beautiful and delicious food. We appreciated flexibility of staff to move our table away from a large and loud group. Staying overnight at the Inn, we ate again here for breakfast and all agreed that meal was even better — both food and service. A great experience all around.

   The restaurant was closed last night ! This is just unbelievable . We had friends in from out of town And to our surprise Stars was closed how is this possible ? There was a limited menu in the bar . This is an absolute disgrace .

   Greetings Deborah- We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced when you attempted to dine at Stars on Sunday evening. Stars does modify their hours of operation in the winter months due to lower occupancy in the hotel. We have posted this information on our Opentable account as well as shut down the ability to book online reservations during these times as to not confuse our guests. We look forward to seeing you during your next visit to the Inn and St. Michaels.

    Best crab cakes ever, and gluten free. All our items were fabulous in presentation and delicious. Excellent view and service. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion!
