Upper Lake Restaurants

Overall magical evening! We had to wait 20 minutes for our table, despite being on time for our reservation. Everything else was excellent!

Every time I come here, I wonder why we don't come more often - the food and cocktail program are phenomenal, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the vibe is easy-going neighborhood restaurant with some of the most interesting seasonal menus in Oakland. And they are super family friendly; my toddler is always happy with the Salvi side plate + some handmade tortillas, but he also steals bites of everything else.

I’ve been wanting to try Bardo’s for a while now and Oakland Restaurant Week was the perfect time! We had the the lamb fritters, winter salad, apple and parsnip soup so good! For mains I had the pork chops and my brother the sole but were great! The dessert was delicious as well!

Every one was so polite and really made it a special visit. Obviously the food was amazing as well.

This place is the best Tiki Bar in the Bay Area and one of the best I've ever been to anywhere. If you like rum drinks, this is your place. If you like a chill soundtrack and to feel like you're at beach in Alameda, you're in the right spot. If you want a great place to take friends or a date for a special drink, this is the one.
