   We had a great "just because" meal here. Service was really good - drinks were really good. I had the waygu meatloaf which had a great hash made with bacon as part of it. Whole meal for two with drinks was around 150. Well worth it.

   The specials were off the charts amazing!! Duck Confit and a squash soup that were cooked to perfection and so flavorful I wanted to lick the bowl. We also started with the whipped feta which never disappoints and is one of our most ordered item every visit, as well as the avocado tostadas and the Brussels sprouts. Delish!

   We stumbled across this restaurant in the Bishop Arts District on a random date night. We couldn't get into another restaurant and thought we would give it a shot. We ordered a caesar salad to share and when they brought it out they said ok ready set fight - boy did we not realize we were in for a treat! If I only knew - def. get your own. We've eaten at may restaurants but this by far was the best salad that had grill marks on the lettuce and black currants and house dressing. Would go just for this but nothing disappointed. The staff was just as much fun as the food we even let them pick our dessert and they use local ingredients including pastries from a local bakery shop. So of course it was our top pick for a double date valentines night, with a special menu - Stock and Barrell did not disappoint. My counsins from Houston loved every bit of the meal from start to finish. The soup itself was incredible, I will I had a big bowl and was able to get seconds. This is a restaurant for true foodies who like to explore different dishes just the way the chef means to deliver it. Such a treat and blessing. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I even went to linkedin to find the chef. What a talent. We will return that's for sure even if we live 45 minutes out.

   For a Valentines Date it was a great atmosphere. Very intimate setting. I was seated with my date in the outside part of the restaurant so I got extremely lucky. However the proportions of the food were very SMALL to my liking. Especially the starters. I thought it was a joke when they brought out their tuna tacos it was bite size. I promise i’m a fit king however If you like to get your feast on this is NOT the place for that. Less food High cost type of vibe. Their speciality Valentine Day French Kiss cocktail wasn’t all that great. Smelled like perfume and for sure tasted like it too. Service was good but not great most likely due to how busy the establishment was on that day. Which is understandable. I would’ve like for them to open their entire menu rather than having just select dishes for valentines. Would’ve made the experience a bit better to try the dishes they’re known for. Their short rib and salmon plates saved the dinner by far the best thing they offered. I give it a cool 7/10 very generous rating.

   Wanted to try a new place for us and decided on Stock & Barrel for Valentines dinner. We were impressed with the set menu and options but where the food was elevated the service was not. We felt rushed and underwhelmed by the level of service for a $300 meal for 2. I chose the wine pairing with my meal and it literally showed up on the last bite. Not what I am used to when fine dining with that price tag. Hard to say if we will be back and it's a shame but with that price the experience should have been better much better.
