   This is normally my favorite steak house in Manhattan; but last night some one decided to turn the music to nightclub level. Speaker was directly overhead. Dinner conversation had to compete with normal noise of a full house plus Mr. DeeJay. Two requests to lower the music volume did little if anything. No food is worth this kind of onslaught.

   We enjoyed our meal at Strip House. It was a celebratory dinner and the restaurant really came through! Pros were the food which was lovely (lobster bisque was amazing, steaks were wonderful,) the desert with a candle, the service. Cons were that it was a bit tightly squeezed in. Although you would think that it would then be too noisy, in fact we were able to converse quite easily and even hear the waiter. The other obvious con was that it was really extravagant, even for us New Yorkers who eat out at nice restaurants often. Good for a big birthday, but way too high for date night! Even given that, I highly recommend.

   Always a fantastic meal! Amazing steaks, prepared exactly the way you like it. Magnificent sides and unbeatable desserts! Always feel very well taken care of (Thanks, Jolie).

   Food was great but service was lacking. We had booked a table for 8.30 but waited 40 minutes to be seated, with customers with later reservations than us being seated first - and had to approach front desk before we we got a table- with no updates forthcoming. Understand it was a busy Friday night but would have expected reservations to be adhered to. Once seated waited 10 minutes for a menu and 20 minutes for a drinks order. Food was amazing when it did arrive but the poor service really put a dampener on our experience.

   Great place, best restaurant in NY - certainly the best steak house in NY. As you arrive, the Front of House manager welcomes you as does the coat check lady. Food is great, server is smart and helps a guest navigate the meant. Bacon as an appetizer is amazing and the tomahawk is ideal to share and just the size that was suggested, ie good for 2.5 people. Nice and very fair wine list - lots of good wines thee for $75/80 per bottle and the sommelier is very good. Brilliant

   We loved everything except the chocolate cake. The service was particularly good, and the steak and sides were to die for. Don’t waste calories on the chocolate cake though.
