SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

I brought a friend here in December for her birthday dinner and loved it, so I brought my husband back for his birthday today. In December, the food and service were amazing! Today, total opposite. While we were seated immediately, the service was poor. Every time I needed something, I felt like I had to track down our waitress. My water was completely empty for most of the brunch. Not once did she offer to refill the drinks until I finally asked near the end of our meal. I also feel like our entrees took too long for each course to come out. When people order the Taste of the South, the entrees need to be timely so people aren’t waiting for the next course with nothing. The biscuits and gravy was lukewarm, in addition to our chicken and waffles. The best thing we had today was the chicken wings. My daughter’s grilled cheese wasn’t very hot either. It felt like the food had been sitting. My children’s ice cream started to melt while they waited for spoons because she didn’t bring them ahead of time. In addition to that, I sent a message to the restaurant saying it was for a 49th birthday. Last time I was asked which dessert we wanted (of course not for free but I was never even asked). Today was very disappointing. I wanted my husband to have a better experience for his birthday just like we had in December, but today was quite the opposite. It would have been nice if our waitress was more attentive.

The waiter Eric was extraordinary! The hostess was amazing. The two of them alone made our dinner experience memorable. Of course, the food and dessert were delicious. It was a very nice evening for my husband and I of Clinton, MD to celebrate our two friends from Richmond, VA.

I loved everything. It was my mom’s birthday. The ambience was amazing. The food was amazing. We got the sampler. I was so happy to taste all of the different flavors. This restaurant had to offer. I think they should edit their deviled eggs though and I don’t like vinegar Greens but the other 12 options were amazing thank you thank you thank you the service was great. The drinks were great.

Really like the menu. Fried chicken was delicious. Will get the short rib next time. Oysters were very fresh, wedge salad was fantastic. Price reasonable. No complaints. Will definitely be back.

Everything from start to finish was outstanding! We were seated right away. Our waiter was amazing and his recommendations were spot on. Definitely go for the deviled eggs! We had catch of the day and the dirty rice. Highly recommend Succotash!
