Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.

    I visited Tavern & Table after a coworker's recommendation, and it did not disappoint. The brisket mac and cheese and cornbread were incredible—definitely must-tries. The service was excellent, and the location has a cozy yet upscale vibe. The only downside was the dry roasted chicken, though the mashed potatoes were great. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot, and I’d happily return.

    The food and ambience was good but the menu selection was scarce for the scale of the restaurant. The dessert menu was almost none.

    Great atmosphere, food, and service. We regularly go to Tavern & Table in the warmer months and sit on the dock level with our dog. We sometimes forget what a nice experience their inside dining is. The vibe is casual sophistication, and the food is always well-prepared and enjoyable.

    We love Tavern & Table and dine here often. The menu, value, ambiance, and service make it truly one of Charleston’s top 10 restaurants in our book - and that’s says a lot considering the number of restaurants in Charleston!

    Had been looking forward to eating here after having tried to get in during the busier summer and wait was too long. Was disappointed in the long time it took to take our order and then the lack of follow up by the only waitress in the place. Not really her fault but there were several tables in an otherwise empty restaurant. After receiving our food, no other follow up until we were done. We would have liked some salt/pepper, more water, etc. My daughter and I were sharing several items, including an entree and no extra plates were offered. We just had to reuse the appetizer plates that we already had. Other restaurants go ahead and split the meal onto separate portions when sharing. We had also indicated that it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation (that had to use a credit card to make!) and no one asked or cared about it. To further disappoint, we asked about desserts only to discover 2 very unappealing options.Just expected a better, more high-end experience over all.
