   Fantastic place to eat. Great service. Food was amazing. Staff fantastic. The street noise was a bit much. But I think you could sit inside and make it even better.

   My prime rib was cold. Not impressed. My date had a salad that she said wasn’t very good. Not impressed. On a positive note, it’s across the street from the Footprint center.

   We love this place! My partner and I do a lot of concerts and events at the new Arizona Center and it’s perfect before attending. The martinis are good and we love the meatloaf! It’s a wonderful place to gather and have fun before having more fun across the street! You can get your reservation and you’re all set for a wonderful evening!

   We chose the Angry Butcher as our option for pre-show dining and the fact that they had meatloaf which is not often on nicer restaurant menus. We arrived slightly late for our reservation and were promptly seated and asked for our drink order then told to take a few minutes to decompress so that we could enjoy our meal. Nice touch from the waitstaff. We were in the back room which was much quieter than the main dining area so if you are looking for a quieter dining experience I would ask for a table in that location. The main dining area was much noisier. We started with the meatball appetizer which were moist and served on a bed of creamy ricotta. There were 4 medium size meatballs which was the right size and plenty to share between 2 people. My dining companion had the meatloaf and I had the prime rib. The portion sizes were generous and left enough room to share a dessert. Both entrees were well prepared, flavorful, done to perfection. We chose the caramel cake for dessert which again was a perfect size after appetizers and a main meal. I have to say the caramel cake was amazing with coffee chantilly being just the right touch. Our waitstaff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. On this particular day you could tell the staff were happy to be there and intent on providing the best dining experience for their guests. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant - the food was good, was delivered timely, and the waitstaff was exceptional. We definitely will choose to eat here again when we are in downtown Phoenix.

   Made a reservation for 10pm after a show we were going to across the street. Made it to the restaurant 1 minute early and were seated within 5 minutes. We were told that we had 15 minutes to last call which seemed strange considering they accepted the reservation. After sitting my wife and I picked out everything, drinks and meals so we could make that window. After that we never saw another employee make eye contact with us, no one even acknowledged us at all. after 20 minutes of just sitting patiently I googled the hours for the Arrogant Butcher and it said it was closed. why would they accept a reservation and then seat us only to refuse to help at all. Got up and walked out and went back to the hotel bar and got a drink. I have eaten at The Arrogant Butcher before and really liked it but this time did it for me, never again.
