An anchor of the downtown Red Bank restaurant scene. Since 1996, this Red Bank BYO has been highlighting a passion for market-fresh ingredients and keeping the techniques simple.

With an open kitchen, brick oven and sushi bar, our eclectic menu proves to have something for everyone. We feature a selection of time-honored entrees, as well as innovative takes on sushi, salads, brick-oven pizzas, and homemade pastas.

Located in the heart of downtown Red Bank, walking distance from the Count Basie Theatre and Two River Theater, we are only a block away from the scenic Navesink River.

After all these years, Bistro Red Bank is more exciting now than it ever was. There is no other Red Bank BYO that has progressively pushed the culinary envelope for over 20 years like Bistro has.

My friend and I visited yesterday, November 9, for the first time. The food was delicious! We ordered several items to share as follows: Edamame Sundried Tomato Dumplings - interesting flavor. Had Thai coconut rum sauce. Delicious! Crackling calamari Salad with spicy miso dressing - wow, so good! Calamari fried nicely and not overdone. Salad was big with plenty of calamari to share. Spicy Vodka Pizza - with Calabrian chili, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and San Marzano tomato. Very good flavor, but it didn't taste spicy to me. Bistro #5 roll - shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, eel sauce and spicy mayo. My new obsession! Folks, I have found my new favorite place in Red Bank! Truth be told, I didn't want to share. I plan to go back again and again and hope that they never fail me.

Delicious as always… sadly they changed the menu and left off the fig and goat cheese pizza, but happily we still had other favorites.

Had a great meal with friends from out of town. Everything was fresh and delicious. Desserts can easily be for two! BYOB is great but so are many of the Alba wines they offer - at winery prices. We will be back.

We were at the Bistro when Broad Street was still blocked and we sat outside. We were ignored for a good half hour until my friend went in and said something and then the manager came and apologized. After that the service was better. The food was good but not knock your socks off good. Value was perfect as it’s a BYOB.
