The Blue Fish Restaurant and Oyster Bar is located historic Avondale, one of Jacksonville's most prestigious neighborhoods. Just minutes from downtown Jacksonville, we offer the freshest selections of seafood in creative recipes, including a large variety of specialty oysters, great steaks, fresh catch, and nightly specials. Light plate options available for the smaller appetite. Jacksonville's best Happy Hour 3-6:30pm daily. Al fresco dining available on our patios.. Our wine list is quite affordable with over 60 wines by the glass. We have two full bars with a late-night upstairs club. We are upscale casual and perfect for business or casual dinners, with friends, family or date night. Full banquet facilities available including private dining rooms that seat up to 70.

request the Blue Fish, the food is always great as well as the service. Last evening, we spent over $100 on food and drink and would have gotten a second cocktail and desert, however, there was a party that was extremely loud and disruptive. My Apple Watch actually kept noticing me it was over 90-decibels. I had to yell across the table at my husband for him to hear me. As I looked around two other close by tables were also not enjoying themselves due to the loud atmosphere. Our server was clearly annoyed with the table and when I approached the bar to speak with management, they would not address it. I’ll also mention the last few times I’ve been the bathrooms downstairs were out of order and the tables/chairs have been wobbly or in need of an upgrade.

My husband,Dad and myself all had brunch today. Michelle was our server she was WONDERFUL! We had a remarkable brunch and a fantastic time with Michelle. The three of us highly recommend the Blue Fish🥳🥳🥳

Outstanding food & excellent service! So glad we gave this place a try. It’s in a cute downtown rye area with shops.

Great service- the food was good. Mime needed a little salt - while my friend's was a little salty...but overall great place. The free birthday dessert was also great.

The restaurant was nice but our table was in a little room on the first floor near the bar and we were hoping to be upstairs for the happy hour. Service was great but a little disappointed we couldn’t get the appetizers for happy hour where we were located.

I’ve a longtime customer of Blue Fish & always very satisfied but today the restaurant has really shown its age. Our table had 2 broken chairs & the existing chairs pretty wobbly (table next to the window). I was disappointed in my fish tacos, I have never been disappointed in my meals, but today the black beans were either over cooked or reheated numerous times, very dry & not hot. I had to really check the taco for the fish. This is a local favorite establishment, a go to with friends. I hope this is a one time mishap.
