   Our waiter Alexie was too kind to us. She was friendly and always smiling. She checked on our table more than once. What a perfect service.

   Absolutely brilliant. Exceeded my expectations. The service was incredible, everyone was so lovely and friendly. The food was truly delicious (had the tuna starter & the chicken burger main) & had the sauvignon blanc - lush. Very good value for money. Noise level was very reasonable too, parties were well spaced out (we were there on a Friday evening). Would recommend! & will definitely be coming again.

   Unfortunately, our recent visit to Blue Kitchen Shoreditch was really disappointing. We arrived just 7 minutes after our booking time, still within the 15-minute grace period but were met with an unfriendly front-of-house staff member who told us she was about to mark us as a no-show. We apologised and explained we would’ve called if we were running late, but she was clearly not interested and made us feel unwelcome from the start. Her attitude only got worse when we ordered drinks; cold, rude, and dismissive. One of the other servers was kind (wish I caught her name), but the main staff member made the whole experience uncomfortable enough that we decided not to stay for food. When we said we’d just have drinks, her behaviour became even more unpleasant whispering to another staff member while giving us dirty looks. There was no reason for it. We were polite, respectful, and just trying to have a nice evening. I’ve been to Blue Kitchen before and had great experiences, but this was unacceptable. If this is how the Shoreditch location treats its guests, especially people of colour, it’s a serious issue that needs addressing. Management should take a hard look at how their staff are representing the brand. Not somewhere I’d recommend.
