   We’ve loved the Capital Grille in Minneapolis, but their Austin location was disappointing: large stains on the tablecloth, our waiter hurried us through dinner, they mistimed and rushed delivery of courses, plus a noisy environment. Definitely not the premium experience we’ve had at other locations.

   Food was great as always, as was the service. I love being able to just order everything we want at once and then letting the staff pace things out, which Capital Grille always does masterfully. The atmosphere seems to have changed a bit though, as they seem to no longer be enforcing dress code. Several fellow diners were in athletic wear and shorts. We typically go for special occasions, and it just took away from that atmosphere we seek for those special dinners, unfortunately.

   We loved Lamar! The hostess was lovely. Food and drinks were delicious. Perfect birthday celebration. Lobster crab cakes were super yummy! It would have been nice to learn of the dinner specials first thing. Happy party! Thanks!
