About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Charming
The Cellar at Duckworth’s combines gastropub fare from our chef-driven menu, with a tap list of specialty and rare beers served at appropriate temperatures to their styles, and signature cocktails that are hand crafted to order by our mixologists. Inspired by an era of time that’s long past, the underground space built originally in 1912, naturally has a speakeasy, prohibition-era feel with its original brick walls and exposed ceiling joists. Even our attentive staff dresses the part from the era. We hope to take you back in time for a bit while enjoying good food and drink with friends and family.

Great food. Attention was OK. Drinks were a little small. Noise was quite high.

Good food, good drinks, excellent customer service from the hosts to the server. I thought the candied jalapeño bacon would be a thicker cut, but it was still delicious. Glad we got two orders for the table.

The steaks were sooooo salty. You couldn’t even taste the meat. I had the beef filet and my wife, the bison - it burnt our tongues and we sent them back twice. We never did get a good steak. Everything else was great.

This was my first time there and we will certainly be back. The evening was amazing. We all had different cocktails that were really good. We had some appetizers and then each of us had filets with a nice bottle of wine. The service was excellent and perhaps the best steaks I have had in Charlotte.
