   Online Menu shown when booking was not available, I felt mislead. Choice was limited and uninspiring. Ordered fish and chips. There was more batter than fish. Batter was was soggy, tiny amount of chips. The beer had a funny taste and was flat. Staff were disinterested in feedback. Not surprised there were not many dinners. Didn't stay for desert. Won't be going back. I rather pay more and have a decent quality than payless and feel dupped.

Since we update the menu twice daily to reflect seasonal ingredients and our chef 's inspirations, it is not possible to upload each menu in real time.    Really enjoyed our relatively impromptu Sunday evening roasts, all very delicious and with friendly and efficient service.

   Delicious roast. Lovely atmosphere. Personally I would have liked my beef more pink but that’s just a preference.

   Sunday lunches are obviously popular, and one is pleased to see that the duke of Sussex is so very popular in consequence..... but the NOISE levels are quite unacceptable in the circumstances. One can hardly think, let alone make intelligible conversation. Food? OK, tasty roasts on overfilled plates, and the hardworked staff at pains to deliver dishes on time. Not the most happy experience as above, but a quieter day might suit much better.

We sincerely apologies for the noise, however this is something out of our hands. If we have a busy service with large groups as it was on the day of your visit, then the acoustics would be slightly noisier.     Fantastic welcoming staff. Great food. We were a party of 6 with 4 kids - not ideal for most restaurants- but they could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommend.
