BEHIND EVERY GREAT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IS A WAREHOUSE STOCKED WITH FRESH SEAFOOD.
The Fishery Restaurant & Market is located just a few blocks from the ocean in North Pacific Beach.
The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.
The Fishery was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for its Wine List from Wine Spectator in 2018- Present. Our wine list is inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts and we strive to showcase real, natural, food friendly-wines with a sense of place.

The Fishery Market showcases fresh fish, prepared seafood, salads, sauces and marinades.

We went on Mother’s Day, and we’re never disappointed when we go to The Fishery. Everything is good, service, knowledge of the menu, food, ambiance, value, and noise level. We had the swordfish with bernaise sauce and pickled shallots and a side of fingerling potatoes. It was delicious!

It was our first time and we went for Mother’s Day weekend. It’s safe to say we will definitely be coming back to this place. The first waitress was a little overwhelmed and rude, but it’s like they read our mind and then changed her to two other lovely girls. The food is top of the line when it comes to fish and seafood and deliciously cooked. Everything was amazing: appetizers, main courses and dessert. Thank you for a great experience!

Accomodates for celiac! They have a separate fryer for fries so I was able to have those.

I heard this was an award winning restaurant, so I came with high expectations... Well, the place was possibly one of the most gorgeous fish restaurants I've seen...with stunning details. We stopped in for lunch, so we just started by sharing their Clam Chowder Soup...possibly the best, innovative version! Then my husband ordered the Catch of the Day Sandwich...which turned out to be Halibut (our mutual favorite fish!), with Fries...and I ordered this Albacore Tuna Salad Sandwiches, with a choice of side, Cole Slaw. And well, I think this was possibly the best tuna salad sandwich (and cole slaw!) I've had as well! Truly, everything was stellar. Everything not only met, my exceeded my expectations. LOVED this restaurant!

We always make a stop at the fishery for either lunch or dinner when we are in town. The pistachio crusted halibut is amazing! Also recommend the clam chowder and grilled cheese for lunch. The lemon tart on the dessert menu is so delicious.

Maybe we ordered the wrong things. Heard great things about their clam chowder and burger but we were tempted to try other things on menu. Tataki was tiny, miso cod was flavorless, squash blossoms were mid, bluefin tuna steak should've been served with rice instead of french fries. Great service, great ambience, the speed of which the food came out was lightning fast. Good dining experience but will need to order other items on menu if we come back
