The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East in a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged.

The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes.

Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of this and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like."

Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
The Lazy Goat in Greenville offers a "unique and never-disappointing" Mediterranean menu with standout dishes like the "fried goat cheese balls" and "brussels sprouts." Its picturesque riverside patio and attentive service, often highlighted by servers like Geronimo and Hannah, create a memorable dining experience. However, note that it can be noisy inside.

Flat bread and apple, fennel and goat cheese flennel salad was good. The on the side chicken was not great. The shrimp that my husband had with his falafel salad was good. View was very nice but food was basically good.

Not only was it Christmas Eve, but our anniversary as well! I got a severe nut allergy, amongst other allergies. Our server Jasmine, was vigilant to communicate with us and the kitchen to avoid any issues. The food was amazing, service even better! We even got a tiny bottle of prosecco, on the house, for our anniversary. Can't wait to return.

Everything our waiter, Geronimo, recommended was spot on ~ from the crispy brussel sprouts, the goat cheese balls in honey to the fresh apple and fennel salad. The homemade paprika pasta with chorizo was spectacular. Too full for dessert! We will be back!

My third dinner here and I think it was just an off night overall. The restaurant was so cold and most people were dining outdoors as it was a pleasant evening. I’m not sure why the AC was full blast but it was not comfortable. The apps were good (fried goat cheese and Brussels sprouts. The Mezze plate and truffle fries were fine. The pasta with eggplant was not good. Two of three at our table were not impressed. Pasta itself was cooked perfectly but there was scant cheese and chunks of eggplant and no blending of the components. Just a bad concept of a dish.
