   Fish selection was mediocre: Cod, and flounder??? Shrimp plancha tasted different/creamier than usual. Menu changed/redesigned and I’m not a fan. I’m a beer drinker and only 4 beers offered on their redesigned menu. I’m really sad to lose my best restaurant ever gone.

   My experience was AMAZING, server was AWESOME her name was AMANDA and she was a 10/10, the mocktails were bomb, the waitress had the bartender create them and I loved them both. Went for one of my close friends birthday and everything was dope. Great time.

   Wonderful food. Attentive servers. The rolls are sumptuous , the lobster roll delicious, the fried oysters good. We shared everything and especially loved the veggie dishes. Recommend trying several dishes and sharing.

   We really enjoy our time at the Optimist. Great food that is perfectly seasoned and well prepared. The entire staff is fantastic, engaging and professional. Great timing between meal courses. A nice selection of wines and some creative cocktails too. Our only disappointment, this time, is that there were no dinner rolls available. This is a minor, minor, point but if you have had the rolls at the Optimist, you understand.

   Appetizers were good. The blackened redfish was weird, cut like tuna and didn’t taste like redfish at all. It was rare in the middle. Someone in our group had the burger and liked it. Overall, cute place.

    Food was phenomenal. Service was very slow and one of our meals was delayed significantly. Food was so good we just took it in stride as it seemed busy. However, they were extremely professional and offered free dessert without us even mentioning it. We will certainly be eating here again. A high point in Atlanta dining.
