The Pelican Club is a contemporary New Orleans restaurant located on historic Exchange Place in the French Quarter. Since opening the doors to the renovated 19th century Creole townhouse in 1990, chef and owner, Richard Hughes has offered a diverse menu based in south Louisiana tradition with French, Italian, and Asian influences reflecting the rich culinary culture of the city.

    Our server was not timely, invisible most of the time. The fish came out undercooked, the filet mignon lacked taste and the rest of our NYE fixed love meal was satisfactory at best. We returned the uncooked fish and was given a different entree which if we were not only not comped for but were double charged for. The restaurant tried to charge us for two more people that was a total of $270 additionally. The restaurant location is superb but we can’t recommend it for any other reasons.

    This was our second visit in 4 days. It was NYE so they advertised a special dinner for $135 pp. Well it wasn't special - - it was basically the same menu as 4 days earlier, just at a much higher price. My wife got the Scallops and the Filet which were excellent. I got the BBQ Shrimp which were way over-cooked. For my entree I got the Rack of Lamb which was burned on the outside and quite tough. However, the service was awesome and we had a great time. I gave it a lower star rating because my choices were not as well made as they could have been. Also - - it would have been more fun if the menu had been "special" as advertised.

    Very nice restaurant, old school atmosphere, food was really good, busy so service was a bit slow, best Side-car drinks we’ve had. Fixed Price menu which was perfect. In all a Go-To place to eat.

    We had an exceptional meal. Everything was amazing and we got a real great taste of New Orleans. The storm was a bit intense and no one rushed us out which was very thoughtful. We will be back soon. Thank you!

    Truly excellent food and service. Had the Paneed Fish and she had the Short Ribs. Started with the scallops which were perfect. Wonderful evening.
