We have been to the Purple Room dozens of times but this was our first time seeing Sharon Sills. She is da bomb! So much fun and such a fabulous band. You can never go wrong with the Purple Room!

We really enjoyed the entertainment! Wonderful singers and band. Appropriate volume and fun audience participation. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Waitstaff was efficient and friendly. My only complaint was the hostess staff. They were rushed brisk. We don’t mind efficient but they verged on rude. We will go back!

We’ve wanted to try The Purple Room since we moved to PS a few years back so I booked a table for my wife’s birthday. The place was crowded (which I took as a good sign) and we were pleased to get a booth. Unfortunately, it was behind the bar, with no view of the stage. The place was dark, which is a good thing given the dark stains and water marks on the ceiling and around the air vents. Don’t look up. I’d describe the entertainment, a Rat Pack Review, as “enthusiastic amateur level.” Not offensive, but nothing special either. Service was friendly and good. Our server came quickly and took orders for appetizers and drinks. The food was not good. Crab cakes cold, pasta overcooked, salad overdressed. Four entrees and four appetizers, none of them memorable. The bill came to $75 per person. About average for Palm Springs these days. As we left my wife said, “well we checked that one off the list.” Maybe that should be the title of this review.

It’s a fun concept. A dinner club. The band was great. I thought the singers were just fair. A bit kitschy. We had risotto and salmon. The food came right away. The risotto was soupy. The salmon was swimming in the sauces. I’d go again, if there were other performers. I’d also opt for less expensive items, like crab cakes and sliders.

Amazing time listening to the Rat Pack shows music and fun banter. A night of laughter that is healing in these times. The short ribs were yummy! A show not to miss!

We were very disapointed. We understood from the reservation on line that there was a 2 hour limit on the table and that was ok. When we arrived 3 seperate people made it a point to point that out again. I seemed rude. We showed up very well dressed as we eat out at nice places often. I was like they thought we had to be reminded multiple times. We were given a booth in the rear of the room. It was a niice booth but it was almost impossible to se the show on the stage. They put 2 TV screens in the room so we could watch the stage. I could have atayed home and seen the show on TV. Now the good part. The service was very good and the food was excelent and priced reasonably. We won't be going back however because we not only could not see the stage but we could not hear the show. The tables arount us were more interested in talking to each other in very lou voices instead of the show. Not only did anyone ask them to respect the other customers by being quiet during the show one of the servers got into a lengthy conversation with one of the tables and she was louder than the customers yelling over the sound of the music. I can't imagine any other the Rat Pack of old performing in a place where they had to compete with a noisy crowd. You should caution the customers when they arrive that this is a show room and please respect the people who came to see the show not to disturb others during the show. A table card would also be nice to remind them to be respectfull during the performance. We will not return. There are som many high end places here in the valley who make our visit a pleasure.
