The Southern Gentleman is a Southern-inspired gastropub in The Buckhead Village District. The concept celebrates every aspect of what it means to be from the South with a fresh, modern take on traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The bar program explores the artistry and history of classic Southern cocktails—everything from barrel-aged cocktails to bottled libations to adult beverages on tap, along with New World wines and craft beers and the “perfect” mint julep.

The gorgeous top floor space in Buckhead Atlanta was designed by New York’s Lacina Heitler, and features classic, Southern touches done in surprising, modern ways: seersucker window treatments, tufted camel leather booths, vintage plateware, white marble countertops, vaulted ceilings, herringbone floors, dramatic chandeliers, complete with an oversized portrait of Mark Twain painted by a commissioned local artist.

Delicious brunch to celebrate our daughter’s birthday! We enjoyed everything: hush puppies appetizer, egg white omelette, 3 meat omelette, avocado toast, bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Potatoes and grits were excellent too. I don’t think there’s a wrong choice on the menu. Attentive service and lovely ambience. Will be back!

Great food and drinks. My wife and I had a date night. Service was great. It was a little loud with the music and folks talking loud, but we had a table in the back with really comfortable chairs! I just wished I lived closer and I would go more often. Definitely will be back soon though!

My skillet cake was cold this time but didn’t send it back because it was end of brunch

This place was really good. The food was a 10/10, I had the shrimp and grits and they were so good! Our server was super sweet and even gave great recommendations. The only downfall was trying to find the actual restaurant, which was so confusing. Overall this place was a 10/10, and I would definitely come back.

Had reservations and only available table was in the bar near the entrance. They were seating reservations and walk ins randomly. Very disappointing for a relatively high price. Carving stations for turkey and ham were empty and only had pre sliced meats which were dry. Had pre added 20% large group tip included on the check for our large party of 3! Not impressed.

We were there for the Thanksgiving buffet and every dish was as good as the last. Hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!

The most pleasant dining experience we have had in a very long time. Chris tie GM was amazing and our server was OUTSTANDING. I wish I could remember her name but she had long braids. They were also very tentative to my elderly mother. Hands down one of the best place to eat. Highly recommended.
