Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was built in 1971 by a man who was not afraid to put his name on his product. Rooted in warm welcomes & excellent food, Tom Ham made his lifelong dream a reality. Tom Ham’s Lighthouse is the only restaurant in the US to have a USCG operated & maintained Lighthouse attached to it. You can locate us on any modern nautical map as Beacon #9. Featuring a 100% responsibly resourced seafood menu & award winning Sunday Champagne Brunch, we are a must when it comes to the San Diego food scene. The dining room, purposely shaped like the state of California, allows for groups as grand as 50 yet private enough for a couple’s night out. Holiday brunches have been long time family traditions for many San Diegans. Start your family’s tradition this next holiday. With the best views of the Downtown City Skyline, Coronado & San Diego Bay, Tom Ham's is & remains a San Diego tradition in dining excellence since 1971.

Me and my party had a very good time and the server was attentive and polite. I would highly recommend this place especially if you have people from another state that doesn’t get to see the ocean much.

Our server was Eddie and he was fantastic. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Big selection of draft beer. Oysters on half shell were fresh and yummy. Unmatched views. Will definitely return.

We sat outside. Outdoor heaters kept it nice and comfortable even though it was not a warm evening. We both had the market fish, it was amazing. We split a crème brûlée which was also really good. The strawberry jalapeño margarita was the only thing I would not recommend ordering. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job taking care of us.

The oysters had sands in them, needed to be washed better, the waiter was very nice and the ambiance was refreshing!

Second time here. Food was ok, arrived tepid. Scallops were small for the cost. Drinks were watered down. The hummus app was great! I had to ask for water refill. Many people bussing tables but not efficiently. Needed to ask multiple times for various services that should have been asked. I'm surprised this location is part of the Bali Hai location as they have better food quality, drinks and service overall. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there again with so many better options.

I’ve been coming to Tom Hams for over 8 years. I enjoy their Sunday brunch. I haven’t been since Covid, but I recently went the other day for brunch. We sat outside and there was an amazing view. Their selection is still the same and they still have the seafood bar and omelette station and pasta bar. The only thing that has changed is the price. It is now $72 but I believe there is a 5% up charge. There is a sign when you’re walking through the door. I’ve gotten Sarah about three times now as my waitress. She is amazing! I will say I enjoyed the seafood bar. I enjoyed the oysters and the scallops. There is ample parking, but you do need to make reservations for this place. If you don’t, I’m pretty sure you’ll be waiting a while. I recommend this place for a nice Sunday brunch or special occasions. I’ve been here for dinner before as well, and it is just as great!
