   My husband and I visit Santa Barbara for three months every winter. We always try to go to Toma 2-3 times each year. We were very disappointed in the service this visit. Our waiter was very attentive at first and then forgot about us. We were going to have dessert to celebrate a 75th birthday but the waiter never showed up and when he finally did come we had decided to pay the bill and leave. I was just plain disappointed because it was my brother-in-laws birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. :(

   We contacted the Toma several times - requesting a nice table . Newly engaged couple And extended family … (they got engaged at Butterfly Beach an hr before ) Unfortunately , we were placed directly by the front door . Server was great .!! A bit of a let down on the table

   Excellent service and the meal was so tasty. The Truffle Gnocchi with shrimp was absolutely amazing!!

   A classic gourmet Italian restaurant. Everything was delicious. We had stuffed squash blossoms, fabulous. They give you a few olives stuffed with blue cheese as a starter. Delicious. We also had gnocchi with shrimp and a swordfish dinner. All was scrumptious and well prepared and nicely plated. The noise level was comfortable conversational level not like most restaurants today where you need to yell to hear each other. Highly recommend. Dessert was phyllo with raspberry mouse. Fabulous as well.
