   We have been to several different Tommy Bahama restaurants over the years and have always been very happy with our dinners. Unfortunately, our most recent experience at the Wailea restaurant was certainly NOT up to Tommy Bahama standards. It started out with our arrival. I had booked a 7:00 pm reservation for four on OpenTable and we arrived right on time. The hostess checked us in, but we were not seated until nearly 7:30. Our appetizers were very good, but our entrées were fair at best. My wife and one of our friends had the macadamia crusted mahi-mahi and it had virtually no flavor and they both had to add significant salt and pepper to the dish. It also took over 10 minutes to get a glass of wine for my entree and I had to stop eating for several minutes to wait for the wine. Then when dessert came out, the other couple that we were with had ordered the Key Lime pie. Unfortunately, it was custard only with no limes in the pie at all.  Our server took it back to the chef and he confirmed that there were actually NO limes in the pie.  I am sure that we will return to Tommy Bahama restaurants in the future, but I doubt that we will return to the Wailea location!!

   Holy cow! I’m still thinking about my entire meal and experience at this restaurant! The service from the host desk to the server was outstanding, the cocktail and wine were delicious and the food was magnificent. You need to go to Tommy Bahamas while in Mou-wee!!

   Fransisco was great! Very attentive, accommodating, and kind. Ethan who also helped us was terrific! So filled with the Aloha Spirit. The GOAT cheese was good but wish TB would go back to the thin crackers (we try to remember to have the tortilla Strips), Rib Eye perfect, Caesar Salad w/filet, Pork Belly Sliders, etc…was all very good. It’s always a great time with good food and wonderful staff which is a testament to Rick the Manager! Mahalo Nui Loa for a fun evening‼️
