Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    We had a great experience - food and service were wonderful …. Our only complaint and not really a complaint was that we were seated near the open door. As the evening went on and the sun went down it became colder in our area. We asked if they could close the doors and they did by compromising one door closed so servers could still go in and out. This was on an exceptionally cooler day in Tampa. We love the location and food and will definitely go back again anyway!

    Whenever I am in Tampa I go here. The broiled oysters are excellent, must haves . Had great service by Austin. Go Bucks!

    We had Kayla as our waitress, she was absolutely phenomenal! She went through the menu and explained what each meal was when we had absolutely no clue what to get. We ended up getting the meatloaf and was the best meal I’ve ever had. 10/10 would absolutely come here again in the future!

    Great service but food was overly salty on several dishes - braised short ribs, chargrilled oysters to name a couple

    This was the first time I went to here and regretted it. Anyone who knows me knows this is my favorite place (take my friends there and if someone asks where you want to go it is here). We were sat in between two tables who competed with being the loudest (hitting the booths) there was challenges with food and they did comp the entrée and dessert as a “sorry for the inconvenience.” I get they are not responsible for the obnoxious guests, they also did nothing to remedy that situation.

    You’re making a reservation ahead of time for special occasion in a restaurant that’s definitely not the cheapest and you wait 30 min for the table past your reservation time. No apology, they should at least offer us drinks if they overbooked. The food was good as always.
