   This was our third visit to UMI and they continue to exceed our expectations on every visit. Along with a couple of dishes we knew, we tried some new items. The tuna tartare with crispy rice was amazing. The New Page roll continued to be our favorite; the lemon slices make it so unique and refreshing. The cocktails were also excellent. Our servers were professional but friendly, and were very attentive to our needs. I spilled some dipping sauce on the table and before we could even say anything, the team swooped in to clean up, replace our placemats, and get us resettled. UMI is unquestionably the best restaurant we have experienced in Atlanta.

   Umi is consistently amazing. Hadn’t been there a while, and had to ask myself why. Amazing food, service, ambience, vibe. Worth the splurge!

   We never received the cod we ordered in spite of asking our server multiple times. Additionally, it was so incredibly loud that we couldn’t even carry on a conversation. We were trying to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we could not even speak to each other very easily.

   Overrated. Paying over $300 for a la carte omakase and house wine per person getting this kind of service and food is the worst. People who want real Japanese food will be very disappointed.

   Sushi and service was exceptional as usual. Umi does not disappoint!! We had a few dietary issues and everything was accommodated. We did the omakase and our final dish of lobster and scallop in an uni cream sauce was flat out amazing. We finished with dessert and had the crepe cake. Perfection! Loved our very kind server (I wish I could remember his name) but he went out of his way for us and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you!!

    Food and service was great. We were running late due to traffic, they seated us in the front by the hostess area. I would’ve been okay with that if they didn’t give a man (walk in) a table in the main dining area. We were late by 5 mins (after the 15 grace period) so the hostess didn’t make eye contact or look at us. We should’ve had our table in the dining area.
