Vee Vee in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is a small, neighborhood restaurant operated by Kristen and Dan Valachovic.     Black Cat pop up. Food was unreal. Service was efficient and friendly. Cost was very reasonable. Would go back tomorrow if I could. Highly recommend.

    EXCELLENT meal on their current Black Cat, Afro/Carribean menu. Waitress recommended a really nice seasonal beaujolais. Interesting that the street corn was served at room temperature, a first, but very good. Final tab was a bit higher than expected but for 5 shared plates that are creative and delicious (especially the Red Snapper Rundown) and 2 glasses of wine, it is the price you pay these days in Boston.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Unique and flavorful. Charred cabbage was exotic, the fish tacos perfect and the baby back ribs delicious. The butterscotch is to die for.

    The new(ish) menu at VeeVee is outstanding. A variety of dishes, suitable for sharing. All prepared perfectly. Charred cabbage was a highlight, also the ribs, and the chicken wings were savory and scrumptious. Highly highly recommended!

    Nice selection of beer and wine. Started with the yucca which was AMAZiNG. The kale caesar salad was very good but I wish the Birria tacos were better but yellow door wins out here. Overall very good and will definitely be back!

    Vee Vee has been a fixture for high quality, high value neighborhood dining in JP for many years. This is now my third visit to the Black Cat pop up and I have been consistently wowed each time. It was great to have a place to take a GF family member with so many fantastic menu options.

    My husband and I went with our grown son and sat inside the very welcoming room. We're longtime VV customers and we all loved the new and inventive Black Cat menu. Everything was excellent: empanada, street corn, cucumber/tomato salad, birria beef tacos, red snapper, and fried rice. Plus the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and experience. We'll be back!
