We enjoyed a delicious pre-theatre meal on Sunday at Vespaio. Our waitress was outstanding, she listened to our questions about the menu, suggested some good wines choices for us and was attentive without being intrusive. We split a delicious, well prepared baby spinach salad. We also shared a Margherita pizza. The pizza arrived hot and ready to eat. We often eat here before seeing a show at the Ahmanson. We’ll be back!

This restaurant is so convenient to the music center in Disney Hall, and is a great place to go if you’re gonna be at the theater afterwards. The food is really good, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. Our waiter, Humberto, was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly, without being annoying. All in all, it was a really nice experience, and we plan to go back the next time we’re downtown at the Theatre.

Tagliatelle Verdi was good. Shrimp scampi risotto was abysmal and very soupy - not a well executed risotto. Scallops appetizer was far too small a portion for the price. Only 2 for $26 dollars was a surprise. Should’ve sent the risotto back, but we were running to a show nearby after. Overall, would dine elsewhere next time.

Chicken parmigiana was terrible. Dry without taste Mashed potatoes were fine service was spotty disappointing experience

We were disappointed in our meal and service for lunch. We ordered three courses: drinks and baguette, a salad to share and a pizza. All were delivered simultaneously rather spread out. The pizza was cold by the time we nearly finished the salad. The server had an attitude of here it is! Food overall had its usual good quality but cold pizza for lunch is not acceptable. Did mention the situation to the manager. Did offer a refund(?) but as we were leaving a little late. Unfortunate as we enjoy their food and ambiance. Thanks for reading.

Food was OK. Pizza unremarkable, not particularly good. Pasta OK. Chicken dish was fine. Olive oil served with the bread had a "best before" date of March 2023. (It's nearly 2025.) That kind of lack of detail concerns me. The restaurant was also empty at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Concerning?
