   What a disappointing evening that ended with the hostess/manager flipping us off in front of our friends! Four of us dined there last night. Two of us had the filet mignon, both of which were not only brought to the table extremely rare but also very, very tough. After telling the server, he advised that ours were not the only tough steaks and the chef took them off the menu for the night. So two of us finished our dinner while the other two had to return them without eating at all. Bad batch, we understand that can happen. I was drinking Cabernet Sauvignon and found excessive sentiment all around the glass. My wife took the glass to the hostess and manager to show them just how much was in the glass. My wife was extremely nice when bringing it to their attention. They both pushed back saying that “sentiment” always happens. This was no different. They didn’t even offer an apologize or offer a new glass. My wife just walked back to the table, not at all feeling heard. So we paid our bill and as we were walking toward the door, the hostess/manager passed by my wife and I and flipped us off to our backs! Our friends were trailing behind us and saw it! How unbelievably unprofessional! We will NEVER go there again. If this is how Vitner Grill treats their customers, we want no part of it. Don’t waste your money. This is NOT fine dining.

   Some of the menu items were really quite good, others kind of missed the mark. Pear and walnut salad could use more pears as three minuscule slice of unripe pear was a let down. Shrimp and risotto was very tasty. Charcuterie was great as well. Value for what you received was standard for Las Vegas. Mentioned a birthday in the group yet they offered nothing, kind of a small disappointment. All in all, nice experience. Hadn’t been to VG in quite sometime, has not slipped since our last visit and is certainly worth your time and money.

   The food was good. The portions were very big, I would say too big. The host was very rude and that is the reason for the low rating. She set the tone for what was supposed to be a wonderful meal our las night in Vegas.

   One person from our party ordered the lamb chops and they brought him a rib-eye. They offered to bring him what he ordered... but it would take a while. Everyone else had just received their meals so he just ate the steak. Additionally, another person in our party ordered the fish and asked if they could have it on risotto instead of the usual. They said yes and then brought the food the way it normally comes. They had to be reminded about the risotto… They went back and brought that out a couple minutes later. 2 out of 5 guests did not get what they asked for…

   We have never had a bad experience at the VG. I’m picky, so I didn’t rate the food at a 5-star, but few are. All of our meals tonight were very good, done to perfection and delicious. Service was excellent at all levels. The ambiance of the VG always gets a good mark with spacious surrounding and nice table clothes; the only downside was noise and it really was minimal (although they were not full tonight). We will be back (again).

   I have dined at Vintner Grill many times and this is the first time I had a disappointing experience. I have been coming for more than 15 years. I was hosting two guests - one from Japan and one from France. Our server Scott was arrogant, and unpleasant. He literally tried to correct my guests (who lives in France) on the pronunciation of a French wine, and then never checked on us after we were served our meal. We asked about one of the menu items (Oishi shrimp) and he indicated they are a special type of shrimp from Japan. One of my other guests lives in Japan, and we knew that Oishi shrimp are farmed in Vietnam and Thailand. I certainly do not expect a server in any restaurant to be an expert on the origin of seafood, but our experience was that he had an unpleasant attitude even in describing the dishes. Perhaps he was having a bad night, but this really created a bad experience for us - and has me questioning whether I will return to Vintner.

   Lots of very loud persons (for an early thursday dinner) but lots of friendly, helpful, staff to tend to our needs. This is always at the top of our dining list. Keep up the good work.

    Always steady Good. Wine list could step up considering name of restaurant but a fair amount of choices.
