   The food is absolutely delicious from the bread with pesto, crab cakes, Pork Parmigiano and tiramisu with cappuccino. Vivace never disappoints. All four of us had amazing food, great drinks, night view of the city and superb service. Our dinner was slow and relaxing with plenty of time for conversation. I am already looking forward to a return visit!

   It was delicious. Went for our anniversary, not acknowledged. That part was a disappointment. The food and atmosphere were incredible.

   Favorite date place. Had a new server. Forgot to inquire about dessert. But we enjoyed ourselves. Situated between two groups of loud celebrations but it isn’t the restaurant fault

   Went last night for my wife’s birthday. Everyone and everything was perfect. Hostess was friendly and professional and asked me whose birthday it was. Had a wonderful table for two facing the courtyard. Server was excellent and didn’t rush us but was consistently available if needed. Fish soup was great and probably too much for one person so be prepared for leftovers. Couldn’t ask for a better evening.

    Excellent Italian food in Tucson, AZ? Yes! My wife and I dined here on a recent visit to Tucson. Normally, I would be all in on Mexican, but we are considering Tucson for retirement and wanted to check out some of the other cuisine available. Vivace delivers excellent food in a very nice setting with both mountain and city views from its location. I had the eggplant lasagne. It was not quite an eggplant parm, but still had enough cheesiness to satisy. The light tomato sauce was perfect, relying on the flavor of the tomatoes more than strong spices (no heavy oregano). My wife loved her veal picatta with fettucini. The veal was tender (of course) and very well prepared. The sauce was delicious and delicate. Both our desserts, spumoni and a lemon tart, were delicious as well. Service was very good, friendly and professional. The ambiance was hurt a bit when the staff set up a big table right next to us during service. A last note is that the drinks are fantastic - appropriately strong and very generous. I had a manhattan riff that was excellent and my wife loved her lemon drop. A generous tip and we were still well under $200 for the meal. You can't beat that in our area (DC).
