   We frequent Water Grill during baseball season since we are season ticket holders. We had our reservation for right after the game ended and were seated within a few minutes. Excellent service and the food was delicious as usual but we were seated as a two top next to a party of 8 highly intoxicated 20 something females that were basically screaming over each other so much that we could not hear our conversation between the two of us. we will be back but we should have been moved once the girls were seated and their voices escalated to a high piercing volume. easier to move two than eight. It was a wonderful opening day and great way to start the season but not a great way to end the evening.

   I spent very good time! There are many delicious dishes! My favorite is Clam Chowder!

   Water Grill has a long history as a superior seafood restaurant in San Diego. Unfortunately, it is no longer excellent. I had the Shrimp Louie Salad, and it was awful. Dry tasteless shrimp. We also had a collection of 6 oysters, but they were not at all fresh tasting or plump. My dining companion had the swordfish, which was just average. The highlight of the meal was the sour dough roll.

   It was so good, I had to go back, this time brought friends! Loved it. Different server, was just as great as the 1st time. Will be back next time I’m in town.

   This was our first time dining at Water Grill, and we had a great experience. I have some severe food allergies, which is always anxiety-inducing when dining in restaurants. Our server was very mindful and communicative about my needs with the kitchen and chef, and I was able to enjoy a delicious meal with no issues. Everything about our nice, long meal was great!

   The waitress could not explain the items on the menu. The Dungeness crab was mushy and inedible. The noise level was so loud I had to use earplugs! The service was slow and we had to wait 20 minutes for our check. The Cioppino, however, was good.
