   The food has taken a bit of a decline from what we have experienced over the past 20 years. The service was very good, but now that it is part of the Auberge Collection, we noticed a slight decline from when it was part of the Relais et Chateaux Collection. Dinner for 4 adults came to $1,250 (including tip) with only one cocktail or glass of wine per person.

   No one at the welcome desk to greet guests or take coats, and no one at the main desk came to assist. Seated 25 min late for an 8 PM reservation. Waitress was friendly but didn’t pay attention to details. The best person on staff was the very nice young woman who cleared the courses and discussed the dishes. The crab-lemon appetizer is fabulous! The fois gras macaron was very disappointing. Unlike the past, the butter poached lobster was tough. The Cherry Bomb dessert was fabulous! 2 out of 4? Overall, disappointing. We hadn’t dined in the primary room in years; didn’t realize how much the quality and elegance had suffered. Still pretty, but not like it used to be.

   Honestly, the best meal we’ve enjoyed in Maine living here for nearly 20 years. Both my wife and I come from the culinary industry and have eaten in some extremely high level restaurants and this meal and experience at the White Barn was one of the best of our lives! Can’t wait to go back. This was not our first time to the White Barn. This was the first time in quite a while. The new chef and ownership have taken this establishment to a whole other level. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

   Food was delicious and service was good. I miss some of the little touches they used to do - Line of staff greeting on arrival, assisting with chairs and placing napkins when returning from restroom, and the little palette cleanser sorbet.

   Fabulous dinner at the White Barn. The Peeky Toe Crab and the Foie Gras mousse were both spectacular. I think I’ll be dreaming about the Foie Gras mousse it was so good. Lovely service too. The wait staff were all super.

   We made reservations for our anniversary. Did the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. It was fabulous. The service was outstanding and the ambience is beautiful.

   This place is very expensive but the food is amazing, the chef does a great job. Presentation is perfect and service if incredible. Ive been twice now and will go back. Bill can give sticker shock but for a special occasion or date night it’s the perfect venue

    The experience from start to finish was incredible! The valet team was warm and engaging. Will and Chris seemed eager to help us and know about our dinner plans, not only that, Chris had 3 umbrellas open and ready for us! Once we entered the building we had a warm greeting from the front office team. Grace, Caleb, and Sergio were kind and knowledgeable. Grace even went above and beyond by giving us a short tour of the property!! We sat at the bar before dinner and had a cocktail. Brooke was friendly and the cocktails were out of this world. I'm not even a whiskey fan and I loved the whiskey based banana drink we ordered. It was so fun to watch her brulee the banana! This had to be one of the best dinners I've ever experienced. Peter was an expert storyteller from start to finish. He and the culinary team took us on an culinary adventure we can't stop talking about! The wine pairing experience was absolutely unforgettable. Each meal was so carefully crafted with love and thought of local ingredients. We still can't decide which course was our favorite. Definitely add this experience to your Maine Must-Do!
