Excellent as usual! Great for special events. Pricey? - Not for excellent service and food. Noisy? - Expected level for family and friends enjoying time together. Great family memories eating at Yank Sing.

Best soup dumplings in town. The fried tofu with garlic is outstanding! All of the steamed dumplings are fresh, and delicious. Yank Sing is the best for dim sum in S.F.

Most of our dim sum items arrived cold or lukewarm. And that’s not the way to serve dim sum. The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were cold and hard as a rock. The shrimp rice roll was cold. The Shanghai Kurobuta pork dumplings (Xiao long bao) were lukewarm and had no soup inside them. And this restaurant claims their Xiao long bao as their signature piece and harkens to the owner’s Shanghai ancestry. To top it off their egg tarts had the taste of artificial pudding. And they were cold too. Have you ever had a really tasty, flaky and warm egg tart? You can get them that way at other dim sum restaurants but not here. This Yank Sing is just factory food. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere because there are so many fabulous dim sum restaurants in the City.

Best Dim Sum restaurant in the Bay Area. The quality of their food are always consistantly good. I have been eating there for over 30 years and I have never been disapointed. I eat at other Dim Sum restaurants too, but over the years, all of their food quality have dropped q lot except Yang Sing.

The menu has been slimmed down from the past and many of the standards are no longer offered (e.g., the cabage salad with candied walnuts and the sweet tofu cream). But the real issue is the quality of the food. Most of the dim sum came to the table cold. The skin on the dumplings was thick and rubbery. $50/person should get you better! Very sad how far they've fallen.

I’ve eaten at Yank Sing since the first restaurant on Broadway in the late 1960s. It is still my favorite dim-sum restaurant fifty years and three locations later.

Food is not fresh, the vegetables are obviously leftovers from the day before, soggy, cold. Rice noodles not much flavor. Extremely expensive for bad dim sum. For these prices, please walk down the street to Harborview, beautiful panoramic view of the ferry building, much better food. Hong Kong born, grew up in SF. Most natives would not come here, tourist trap.
